FCA US LLC reported today that the Jeep® Cherokee set an all-time February sales record, despite another month of bitter weather across key selling regions for the brand. The Ram brand scored another record month as well, on the back of award-winning products in the hot light-duty and heavy-duty markets.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. confirmed today plans to invest a total of $4.5 billion in five of its existing Michigan plants, and to work with the city of Detroit and state of Michigan on building a new assembly plant within city limits. The move would increase capacity to meet growing demand for its Jeep® and Ram brands, including production of two new Jeep-branded white space products, as well as electrified models. The proposed projects would create nearly 6,500 new jobs.

The 10-millionth Pentastar engine was produced here today at FCA US LLC’s Trenton Engine Complex. Introduced as a 3.6-liter V-6 in 2010, the Pentastar engine family has accounted for six placings among the prestigious annual list of Wards 10 Best Engines and currently comprises six fuel-saving variations that feature technologies from Variable Valve Lift (VVL) to hybridization.

The Chrysler Brand led all FCA US LLC brands and the entire industry in three-year dependability improvement with a 30 percent growth in the brand’s score from last year’s study (from 211 down to 146 PP100). Chrysler Brand sits at 16th overall out of 31, marking a 15 spot improvement from the previous year.

We are deeply saddened at the passing of Congressman John Dingell, a man who tirelessly served the people of Michigan for almost 60 years. He was tough but fair, and he represented FCA well, particularly the employees who worked at the Dundee and Trenton engine plants and the numerous employees and their families who live in his former districts. We will miss his humor and his wit, and the ferocity with which he fought for the people of this state and all Americans.

Based on the Company’s 2018 financial performance, FCA US LLC announced today that it will make average profit sharing payments of $6,000 to eligible UAW-represented employees. Approximately 44,000 employees will receive the payment on March 8, 2019.

(NYSE: FCAU / MTA: FCA) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary FCA US LLC has reached final settlements on civil, environmental and consumer claims with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the California Air Resources Board (CARB), the State of California, 49 other States and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, agreeing to pay approximately $400 million in civil penalties to resolve differences over diesel emissions requirements.
