Chrysler Group LLC to Invest $114 Million in Trenton, Mich., Facility

June 14, 2011 Chrysler Group LLC today announced that it would invest $114 million in new equipment at its Trenton Engine Complex to support increased production of the Pentastar engine. The investment is estimated to create 268 new jobs.

Chrysler Group LLC confirms that it is looking to invest $843 million into the Company’s existing transmission manufacturing facilities in Kokomo, Ind., to accommodate production of a new advanced front-wheel drive automatic transmission for future Chrysler Group vehicles. With this announcement, the Company’s total investment in U.S. facilities would climb to nearly $3 billion since June 2009.

Chrysler Group LLC and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Announce New Research Project for Hydraulic Hybrid Powertrain

January 18, 2011 Chrysler Group LLC and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) today announced a partnership to determine the possibility of adapting a hydraulic hybrid system for large passenger cars and light-duty vehicles. The announcement was made at the EPA laboratories in Ann Arbor, Mich., following a meeting with Sergio Marchionne, Chrysler Group CEO, and Lisa P. Jackson, Agency Administrator for the EPA.

December 6, 2010 Chrysler LLC Powertrain’s newest engine, the Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6, has been recognized by Ward’s Automotive as one of the "Ten Best” engines for 2010.
