January 18, 2012,  Auburn Hills, Mich. - The 2012 Chrysler Town & Country was awarded the Detroit News Readers’ Choice “Best Family Hauler” for a seventh year in a row. A panel of consumer-minded Detroit News reader-judges — rather than industry professionals — selected the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country as the best family vehicle at the 2012 North American International Auto Show.

“Chrysler has been the lead innovator in the minivan segment for over 20 years, and the Detroit News Readers’ Choice Award for Best Family Hauler demonstrates that consumers continue to take notice,” said Saad Chehab, Head, Chrysler Brand – Chrysler Group LLC. "The 2012 Chrysler Town & Country adds to its groundbreaking features like Stow ‘n Go® seating and Stow ‘n Place™ stowable roof rack with even more standard features. Town & Country is now the only minivan available with standard DVD and leather seating, making it an even better value.”

The 2012 Chrysler Town & Country minivan builds upon the dramatic, and well received, changes made in the previous model year. Already imbued with innovative technology, unparalleled functionality, classic design, and a long list of standard convenience and safety features, enhancements in refinement make the 2012 Town & Country a true stand-out in the minivan segment.

All 2012 Chrysler Town & Country models offer over 40 available safety, security and technology features, providing customers the safety they expect to ensure peace of mind when traveling. Standard safety features include ParkView® rear backup camera, front seat-mounted air bags, a driver-side inflatable knee blocker, advanced multistage driver and front passenger air bags, side-curtain air bags for all three rows and electronic stability control, including Brake Assist and all-speed traction control.

New standard features for 2012 include standard leather seating and rear-seat DVD for all models, new Sapphire Blue interior lighting scheme and a class-exclusive leather and wood heated steering wheel for Limited models.
